TECHNICAL ARTICLES BY NORM KELLER

Who is Norm Keller?

I grew up in the mechanical trades as helper, gas jockey and up to technician in my family's general service operation. We did repairs and maintenance on everything from lawn mowers, outboard motors, farm equipment, cars, light trucks, medium trucks, and some heavy equipment. I have experience in all of these areas working professionally for over 15 years.

My first motorcycle was a Suzuki 80 Sport in 1965 and the 2004 KLR is number 39. I have owned, ridden and repaired almost any and all descriptions of motorcycle. Road raced and wrenched road and drag racing machines although not for many years so am a bit of a dinosaur.

Qualifications:

Interprovincial Automotive Technician certification.
Certificates in Small Engine Repair, Motorcycle Repair, Small Power
Generator Repair, and Outboard Motor Repair.
Third Class Power Engineering Certificate.

I hold a certificate in adult education and taught automotive, small engine, motorcycle and outboard motor repair in community colleges for nine years. I presently operate a tool and equipment supply business in Western Canada.
